Gistimages - About Us - Steven McDade and Gillian Hardisty

Gistimages is a small stock photography business based in Menstrie, Clackmannanshire which is located at the foot of the Ochil Hills in Central Scotland. We are only 5 miles away from Stirling and within an hour of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Loch Lomond, the gateway to the Highlands.

Gistimages is run by real life partners Steven McDade and Gillian Hardisty, both of us doing all the work that you see, photographs, website, keywording, etc.

Our name, Gistimages, comes from the Gi of Gillian and the St from Steven in our names.

We started Gistimages in August 2006 to allow us to create a portfolio of photographs which would appeal to many different markets while still allowing us to create images that we love.

Obviously we will be covering Scotland in our photography as we think that we have a beautiful country on our very doorstep, with it's natural beauty and it's history.

We love the freedom of where the photo can take you - and the freedom to be our own bosses and treat those who work for us the way that we would like to be treated.

This is by no means a political site but if we have learned anything from our photography it is that we have a beautiful world and everyone should be able to enjoy it without feeling threat or persecution - regardless of race, sexuality or religious belief.
