These are pictures of the golden poison arrow frog.
Like the blue poison dart frog this little guy's toxins are used in some South American's tribes production of their blowgun darts but these frogs don't have to be roasted as the toxin in a golden poison arrow frog is so potent that the darts just have to be dipped on to their backs. Unbelievably the toxin is so strong that it can kill up to 10 adult humans. The Golden Poison Arrow frog's toxin is also left behind when it leaves an area.
The photos were taken of the Golden Poison Arrow Frog in its glass enclosure. It is very small, shiny and striking looking. It remained motionless almost the whole time we took the pictures and looked really cute, however, we don't want to get too close!
