These are pictures of The Pineapple.
The Pineapple with 16 acres of grounds, originally a garden retreat built in 1761, was gifted to the National Trust of Scotland in 1974 by the Countess of Perth. This distinct, unusual and different building located near Dunmore, Falkirk, and within easy driving distance to the Kincardine Bridge was, as the name suggests, built to look like a pineapple.
These photos were taken in Spring just before the gardens began to bloom, however, the surroundings are very tranquil and you feel transported away from everything whilst you are in the grounds. Whether you will ever see a more unusual building than The Pineapple is debatable and if you are near Dunmore then it makes an interesting visit.
