This is a picture of the Victoria Crowned Pigeon.
This Victoria Crowned Pigeon photo was taken at Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland. The photo shows quite clearly why the Victoria Crowned Pigeon is so-called due to the beautiful plumage on its head that looks very regal. The colourful blue and purple plumage makes this bird quite startling to look at but it sat perched on its branch quite happily whilst we took photos.
The Victoria Crowned Pigeon is a vulnerable species.
